FALL RIDE

With over 736 miles of riding in the surrounding area, and national forests on all sides of the city limits, Missoula, Montana is an easy place to find yourself lost among the larches on two wheels. While the mountain biking and road biking cultures are strong, Missoula has a particular niche for cyclocross and gravel grinding hounds. A labyrinth of forest service access roads and old logging roads lace the steep mountain sides surrounding town just waiting to be explored. Christine Tharp, a former cyclocross competitor, capitalized on a beautiful fall morning to rise with the sun and enjoy some time on the trails.
