Maple syrup, fall colors, quaint towns, Bernie Sanders, these are all things Vermont is known for. Rock climbing? Not as much. But this understated climbing community has set a gold standard for what community activism can do to protect natural resources, and gives a different definition of what it means to be a "good" climber.
